The Weekly Update is here and ready to read! We’ve gathered all the news from this week in one article so you can easily stay up to date with everything happening on the platform and not miss out on any opportunities.
PointPay News
This week was full of events, but let’s start with TOKEN2049! This popular conference took place on 1-2 October in Singapore. Thousands of people from around the world attended - and PointPay was there too!
We had the chance to discuss new partnerships, explore exciting projects and ideas, and meet many of our users who also came to the event. TOKEN2049 turned out to be an excellent experience, and we’re already looking forward to the next one.
Also, this Thursday a new video was released on our YouTube channel - the second part of the AMA session with PointPay CEO Vladimir Kardapoltsev. Announcements, results, news discussions, and answers to user questions - all of this is waiting for you in the video, so don’t miss it!
The next AMA session will take place at the end of this month. Get your questions ready while we continue working on new features and updates for you.
On Wednesday, PointPay carried out the scheduled closure of Savings accounts for the PXP token. From now on, it can no longer be stored in Savings, only in Spot or Staking. You can find more details about this in our blog article. There’s no need to worry, though - according to our statistics, less than 1% of users held their PXP in Savings. It is much more beneficial to stake PXP or use it to pay trading fees!
Finally, new assets continue to be listed on our exchange as part of Listing Fest 2.0. This week, five new tokens were added: 📩 Request (REQ), ❄️ BENQI (QI), 🌌🎮 Ultiverse (ULTI), 🥞 Syrup (SYRUP), and 🔗 Velo (VELO). They are already available on the exchange and can be traded with zero fees for 7 days! Find out more details and all the links here!

While last week ended in red, October began with green across the crypto market. Over the past 7 days, top-100 cryptocurrencies grew on average by 5-10%, recovering from the decline and even gaining additional value.
At the moment, BTC is trading at $118,670 (+6%), while ETH is at $4,380 (+9.5%). A strong week with hopes for further growth ahead!
