NASDAQ’s Jane King interviewed Vladimir Kardapoltsev on the TV show ‘Innovators with Jane King.’ Jane profiles innovative technology companies and thought leaders in the field.
Vladimir shared some insights into the PointPay ecosystem, including an overview of our customers’ financial products. PointPay is a global cryptocurrency banking platform operating since 2018 with more than one million active users worldwide. Our ecosystem includes a blockchain-based bank, exchange platform, and a payment system.
The interview was an excellent opportunity to present our advantages to a broader audience. For example, PointPay has low trading fees — both maker and taker have a single fee of 0.05%. The PointPay blockchain-based bank pays interest on 13 popular digital assets, including stablecoins USDT, USDC, and DAI.
Vladimir shared his thoughts on the future outlook of the crypto market that has seen a large influx of institutional investors in recent years. Total global investment activity in blockchain and cryptocurrencies skyrocketed to $8.7 million in the first half of the year, more than double that of the previous year. Additionally, PointPay’s CEO shared how decentralized finance can disrupt the financial industry.
While still in its early stages, decentralized finance (DeFi) has the long-term potential to transform the global financial system. DeFi facilitates open access to financial services for everyone. Using blockchain technology, DeFi democratizes the production and delivery of financial products and services and changes the way financial services are delivered by making them faster, cheaper, and more efficient.
Of course, it will take time for DeFi systems to reach their full potential. Still, because they were designed to make the financial system more inclusive, they will penetrate every corner of the internet and create markets that traditional financial institutions could not.
