Global Update of User Levels on PointPay!
Dear PointPay Family,
PointPay is moving forward at full speed. Our ambitions and capabilities keep growing, and today we are excited to share a major update to one of the core systems of our platform - User Levels.
The User Levels system has been with us since the very beginning of PointPay. Over the years, it has evolved to meet the growing needs of our users and the changes in the crypto industry. Now, it is time to make it even more rewarding and generous!
What is the User Levels system?
Newcomers to PointPay may overlook User Levels because of the wide range of features our platform offers. That's why we want to explain once again what this system is all about.
User Levels is a system of bonuses and discounts based on your PXP balance. The more PXP you hold, the higher the discounts and bonuses you receive on the platform.
Experienced users - and especially traders - use this system to maximize the benefits of their trades. And there is no downside, since your PXP stays with you and continues generating rewards. You can even stake it - it will still count toward your User Level!
User Levels Update
This update has been long overdue. With the growing number of new users, many of them faced a limitation: they simply couldn't progress beyond the top - the Platinum Level.
We didn't want to complicate the list of levels. Instead, to give everyone more opportunities, we compressed the existing levels, opening up the higher ones for even greater bonuses and discounts!
In short, no user will lose anything. On the contrary - with the same amount of PXP, you will now receive even bigger bonuses!
New Levels and Bonuses
Below, you will find a table with all the new levels. It shows how much PXP is needed to unlock different bonuses. The rewards are definitely higher than before - and there is more room to grow now!
One important note: after the update, your level may decrease - and in most cases, it probably will. For example, you might have been Platinum, but will now become Silver. However, your bonuses will still increase - just take a closer look!
Previously, Platinum level (200,001 PXP) had a Taker fee of 0.075%. Now, with the same PXP amount, you will get it reduced to 0.07%. And if you pay fees in PXP, the rate drops even further - from 0.0675% (Taker/Maker) down to 0.0525% and 0.06% respectively.
Yes, some bonuses have been adjusted downward, but the overall gains more than make up for it!
A New Variable
As you may have noticed from the table, the updated User Levels now include an additional factor: your trading volume. This reflects your activity on the exchange.
You can track this parameter in your profile - it updates automatically after each trade. Be sure to monitor it so that by the end of the month it matches or exceeds the level you aim for.
Important: both parameters matter - your PXP balance and your trading volume. Your level is determined by the lower of the two.
Increased Discounts with PXP
One of the most exciting updates is the increase in discounts when using PXP! Here, no additional conditions apply. As long as you pay your fees with PXP tokens, you get a 25% discount.
For example, if your fee is $10, you will only pay $7.50. Holding PXP is now more profitable than ever!
A Gift from PointPay
We couldn't release this update without giving our users a small gift. To celebrate the launch of the new User Levels, all users will temporarily keep their current levels, while enjoying the new, increased bonuses.
For one month, you'll be able to use the updated bonuses of your existing level. This way, you can experience the new opportunities and decide whether to aim even higher, or continue with the rewards you're already familiar with.
VIP users will enjoy even more - they will keep their current levels for up to three months from the release date!
